Lactalis Canada appoints new Vice President

Lactalis Canada, the Canadian dairy leader behind iconic brands like Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson, Astro and Lactantia and a subsidiary of France-based Lactalis Group, announced yesterday the appointment of Alexander Benedet to the position of vice president, customer strategy and development, effective January 9, 2023. 

Benedet will be responsible for building and leading the Revenue Growth Management, Ecommerce & Shopper Marketing, Sales Operations and Business Development teams under a newly created centre of excellence for the Commercial function at Lactalis Canada.

Benedet boasts over 20 years of experience in progressive leadership roles within Consumer Packaged Goods. He was most recently at General Mills where he served as vice president of sales strategy, capabilities and planning. Prior to that, he was the vice president of marketing and has held multiple leadership roles in finance with the company.
