Mobile Cattle Health Facilities for Gulbarga District
INDIA - From January 12 five districts in the Gulbara region will be provided with mobile health services for cattle.
Consisting of a cattle ambulance equipped with necessary apparatus and manned by a veterinary doctor and assistant, the mobile veterinary service comes as part of a first wave of a cattle health policy to help rural India develop.
The Bidar district, is not included in the instalment of cattle services and will have to wait until a later date, due what the Animal Husbandry Minister, Revu Belamanji, described as ‘technical problems’, when talking to the New Indian Express.
The service will be contactable by phone call and provide on the spot treatment with the option of more serious cases being transported to the veterinary clinic.
Minister Belamanji told the New Indian Express that initially the scheme intended to provide 80 district of North Karnataka with mobile health services but due to complications, 26 ‘taluks’ are to be covered from January the 12 onwards.
