The first helmsman auction of seven Torrisdale bulls on 30 May saw six lots sell at reserve or better – resulting in a delighted vendor.

The auction is easy to use and transparent, providing video footage which allows vendors and agents to view and access a national bench of buyers – all with the click of their mouse!

How it works

  • Any number of lots can be offered over a set time period – in most cases two hours
  • All prospective buyers must register prior to the sale and receive a buyer number. They must be current PGG Wrightson account holders
  • Once registered they will then be able to bid on any number of lots
  • If they are out bid on their preferred lot they still have the opportunity to bid on any of the other available lots
  • If two more buyers are bidding on a lot at the close of the sale, the time on all lots will auto extend until no one has placed a bid for up to two minutes
  • The registration and the payment process mirrors a normal sale i.e. payment within 14 days.
