More FMD in South Korean Cattle
SOUTH KOREA - The Korean veterinary authorities have reported another outbreak of foot and mouth disease in cattle.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no.3 yesterday, 13 December. According to the report, the most recent outbreak occured on 10 December at a farm in Yeongju city.
A total of 56 animals were found susceptible to the disease, out of which two animals were found affected. All 56 animals were destroyed.
There was a notification of a suspected FMD case from a farm on 10 December. It was proved as FMD positive on 11 December.
Cattle and pigs in the affected farm and within 500m around the affected farm have been culled and buried as a pre-emptive measure.
The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive.
