BSE Case in Netherlands
NETHERLANDS - The Dutch cheif veterinary officer, Dr Christianne Bruschke, has reported a new case of BSE in the Netherlands to teh World Animal Health Organisation - OIE.
The case ocured in a cow in Odiliapeel, Noord-Brabant, born in 1997 before the total feed ban in 2001.
In all there are 163 susceptible animals in teh herd and three animals have been destroyed. In addition to the positive case, the two other cows were culled - one was a cow from the birth cohort and one offspring.
The OIE said that the incident had now been resolved.
