FMD Vaccination Programme to Start
BRAZIL - The authorities in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil are continuing to monitor the spread of foot and mouth disease in the region.

In March, the first stages of the vaccination programme will be conducted in the east of the region, in the "Cattle Circuit East".
According to the beef exporting association ABIEC all the cattle in the mining regions of Mata, central, north and east, will have to be vaccinated.
This will mean about 10.5 million cattle will be immunised on 172,000 farms.
