Mr Brown, who is currently in his third year as president of AgForce Cattle, was nominated for the
position during this week’s CCA annual general meeting in Adelaide. Mr Brown has served on the
board of CCA as a director for the past two years.

Mr Brown, who runs a beef cattle property – “Meadowbank” – at Mt Garnet in northern Queensland,
said he was honoured to be elected to the position.

“Queensland is the largest beef producing state in Australia producing more than 40 per cent of the
nation’s beef and accounting for nearly 60 per cent of beef exports,’’ he said.

“I look forward to continuing to represent the needs of this state’s beef producers at the national level
and ensuring that Australian beef retains its reputation as the best in the world and remains the
number 1 product of choice for international consumers.”
