ARGENTINA – Over 42 million Argentinian cattle received vaccinations in the country’s second Foot and Mouth Disease campaign of 2014.
All categories of animals were treated in Entre Rios, Corrientes and Buenos Aires, barring the Patagones region. Other regions in the programme only had youngstock treated.
The figures are from the National Health and Food Quality Service (SENASA) which stressed vaccination was a major foot and mouth disease prevention strategy.
