Belarus - Exports Via Exchanges.

BELARUS - The Belarusian government passed a resolution in late October that stipulates that export sales of butter and rennet cheese may only be made via auctions at the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange, according to the Belta news agency.

The new regulations will not be applied already signed export contracts. Tamara Usacheva, from Belarus' Ministry of Agriculture, said the resolution will help improve the efficiency of butter and cheese exports and create equal conditions for exporters.

The Belarusian government has also asked the Trade Ministry and the Minsk City Council, jointly with the oblast (regional) executive committees, to make a list of dairy products highly demanded in Minsk and to control their availability on a permanent basis, according to Belta.
