US beef exports to Caribbean hit record value in strong start
Dominican Republic and Bahamas lead first-quarter volume surge
US beef exports to the Caribbean reached their second-highest volume on record in March 2026 at 3,276 metric tons, while export value climbed 22% to a record $36.9 million, according to data released by USDA and compiled by the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF).
For the first quarter, regional volumes rose 5% to 8,996 metric tons as value jumped 27% to $102.7 million.
Growth was led by the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas and the Netherlands Antilles, with first-quarter exports to those markets — along with Turks and Caicos — running at a record pace.
