Meiji Holdings recalls milk after detecting cattle drug

Meiji Holdings said on Saturday that it was recalling some Meiji Milk after detecting an antibacterial chemical called sulfamonomethoxine, which is used to treat cattle, reported Reuters

Meiji will provide refunds for the affected products, while also assuring that consuming the milk is not harmful, the company said in a statement on its website.
