Financial market operator Euronext will launch cash-settled European dairy contracts next year based on the benchmark Vesper Price Indices (VPI), Reuters reported, citing a statement.

Listed on the Euronext Paris Commodity Derivatives market (MATIF), the dairy futures will be based on European butter (82%) and skimmed milk power (food grade), Euronext said.

The contracts are set to be launched live in the second quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approval.

The origin of the dairy products will be the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Denmark and Ireland.
