Losses in China's beef cattle farming have gradually narrowed, Reuters reported, citing an agriculture ministry official who spoke at a press conference on Friday.

Due to the post-Spring Festival off-season in dairy consumption, the price of raw milk continues to remain at a low level, said Chen Bangxun, the head of the ministry's development and planning division.

China will consolidate progress made in alleviating difficulties in the beef cattle industry, diversify dairy product offerings, and help dairy farming sector emerge from its current challenges as soon as possible, Chen added.
