Brazil sets soy output record at 179m tons
Conab lifts forecasts for corn and cotton too
Brazil's 2025/26 soybean output is expected to reach a record 179.15 million metric tons, Reuters reported, citing national crop agency Conab on Tuesday, slightly raising its March forecast of 177.85 million tons.
Brazil's second-corn crop output is now forecast at 109.12 million tons, up from 108.43 million tons previously.
The country's cotton (lint) crop is now expected to hit 3.84 million tons, slightly higher than the previous forecast of 3.80 million tons.
Brazil's total grains output during the 2025/26 season is now projected to hit 356.34 million tons, higher than Conab's March prediction of 353.45 million tons.
Soy exports for the season are forecast to hit 115.40 million tons, up from a previous forecast of 114.39 million tons.
