Brazil beef exports hit record in first half of 2026

China and US lead demand as revenue jumps 36%

Brazilian beef exports reached record highs in the first half of 2026, totalling 1.705 million metric tons shipped and $9.85 billion in revenue, Reuters reported, citing exporter group Abiec on Monday. Abiec cited official government data as its source.

First-half exports rose 15.5% from the same period of 2025, while revenue increased 36.2% year-on-year.

Average monthly shipments in the period reached about 284,000 tons, Abiec said.

China led first-half destinations with 794,700 tons and $4.87 billion in purchases, up 24% in volume and 49.4% in value year-on-year.

The United States ranked second with 205,000 tons and $1.35 billion, up 13% in volume and 29.8% in value.

June shipments surged 16.6% to 317,300 tons from a year earlier, setting a monthly record, while revenue rose 38.1% to $1.975 billion.
