Mad-cow fears quash USDA import changes
US - A federal judge in Montana on Monday cut off a plan quietly implemented last week by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to allow imports of bone-in beef products such as T-bones and rib roasts from Canada. The USDA on April 19 had relaxed import bans put into effect after last year's mad cow disease scare. It was the second concession regarding Canadian beef by the USDA. In August, boneless cuts such as filets were allowed back into the United States from Canada.Source: DenverPost
