Mad cow losses pushes milk price hikes

CANADA - Canadians will be faced with higher prices for dairy products not just at the supermarket but also when they dine out, an association of restaurant owners warned Tuesday as the average price on a litre of milk rose between four and seven cents. The Canadian Dairy Commission's ruling in favour of the increase said it's aimed at helping farmers hit by rising production costs and the fallout from the mad cow crisis.
