UN Food Agency Finds Mad Cow Disease Controls Reassuring

US - Because more countries are taking essential control measures, the few cases of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) -- or mad-cow disease -- found in North America in recent years and one case just confirmed in France should not alarm meat consumers and producers, according to the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
