China has indefinitely suspended beef imports from JBS SA's Mozarlandia plant in central Brazil, newspaper Valor Economico reported on Wednesday, citing the South American country's Agriculture Ministry.

The suspension will take effect on Thursday, the report said. JBS did not have an immediate comment on the matter, while the Agriculture Ministry did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
