Former US Vet Alleges USDA BSE Cover-Up

US - A former American government packing plant veterinarian claims the United States government is hiding cases of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), or mad cow disease, according to a story that ran in the Thursday edition of the Edmonton Journal newspaper.
Dr. Lester Friedlander, in Edmonton, Alberta for a speaking engagement for a group called the Edmonton Friends of the North Environmental Society, said that colleagues with the United States Department of Agriculture have told him of cases that the USDA has chosen not to announce.
