Arla prioritises business continuity, health & safety of employees amidst COVID-19 spread

DENMARK - On 11 March, the Danish Government announced special measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. The measures focus predominantly on the closure of a range of public institutions, instructions for many public sector workers to work from home and the identification of critical workers, such as health and emergency services, who are essential at this time.

At the same time the prime minister has asked key sectors including food suppliers to keep operations running. Therefore, Arla Foods continues to work to secure business continuity throughout our supply chain as we support the Danish authorities in their work to contain the spread of the corona virus.

In a statement, Arla announced: "We are working to ensure that we are able to keep our products flowing throughout our supply chain from milk collection at farms through to delivery to customers.

"The health and well-being of all employees across our sites is a key priority and we are doing all that we can to secure a safe work environment for those who are critical to our business and our production.

"We already have a very high hygiene and safety standard at our sites and we have implemented extra measures and precautions such as adequate space between colleagues, in line with guidelines from health authorities."
