Study: Voluntary Testing for BSE Would Help Beef Industry

KANSAS - The loss of export markets after the discovery of a case of mad cow disease in the United States cost the beef industry billions of dollars. That from an economic impact study by the Kansas Department of Agriculture released today. It puts loss estimates in the range of $3.7 billion to $4.7 billion.
