Association chairperson Miriam Mbazima said zero-rates were needed on milk products in the 2016 national budget to bring down the cost of production, reported the Times of Zambia.

According to her, Zambian dairy farmers are unable to sell milk products at a competitive rate because of their high cost of production.

She added that small dairy businesses were struggling to grow due to imports of milk products into the country.
