Arla Cautiously Holds September Milk Price
EU – Danish dairy processor Arla will maintain its on-account price for its suppliers, although has said it must “remain cautious”.A one eurocent reduction was announced back on 3 August, taking the standard litre price to 23.01 pence.
The latest announcement follows a series of milk price reductions but Arla says the market remains volatile with world milk production remaining high against a "backdrop of restricted demand".
Jonathan Ovens, Arla Foods amba farmer board director, added: ”We are encouraged by the significant level of support we are receiving from our customers, both in the UK and throughout our global business, and are doing everything we can to help our farmers navigate through this difficult period.”
