Afghan Ambassador Meets India's Agriculture Minister
INDIA - In order to take cooperation between the two countries to the next level, Afghanistan's Ambassador, Shaida Moh. Abdali met Indian Agriculture Minister, Radha Mohan Singh in Delhi last week.

During the meeting, the Ambassador thanked the government of India for extending cooperation in the field of agriculture and allied sectors.
Radha Mohan Singh informed Ambassador Abdali that India has taken keen interest in conducting training programmes to share its expertise in agricultural techniques, infrastructure for the benefit of Afghanistan.
India has imported agricultural products valued at US$207.5 million and its exports were of the order of $60.94 million during the year 2013-14. Both countries agreed to explore possibilities in further strengthening bilateral cooperation, research work, infrastructure and technology.
They may jointly organise seminars/workshops for the participation of farmers of both sides to share knowledge and experience of technologies, cooperatives and packaging industries, Ambassador Adbali suggested.
He expressed the hope that the National Agricultural University of Afghanistan would receive support for their research work from India.
Minister Singh assured him of all cooperation in this regard and told him that an official meeting between the two countries will be organised soon.
Afghanistan looks forward to sharing India’s experience in respect of climate change, packaging of fruits like apple, pomegranates and grapes etc, Ambassador Abdali added.
