A comprehensive range of topics will come under the microscope in three parts led by an inspiring line-up of speakers featuring a mix of farm managers, farmers and industry influencers scheduled by event organiser, the Institute of Agricultural Management (IAgrM).

How the farming and food sector is scheduled to change will be explored by HSBC’s Mark Berrisford-Smith; FSA chairman, Tim Bennett and RAU principal, Prof Chris Gaskell.

Farm management delivering tomorrow’s food and fuel will be discussed by Jake Freestone, Overbury Farms; Midland Pig Producers, James Leavesley; Prof Judith Capper, Washington State University and Future Gas’ Philip Lukas.

Future managers and future farmland values will be assessed by NFU deputy president, Minette Batters and Craigmore Farming Investment Group’s Nick Tapp, whilst the event will be wrapped up by Andrew Blenkiron discussing Euston Estate’s take on sustainable intensification.

Finally AHDB chairman, Peter Kendall will introduce some industry crystal ball gazing prior to the evening reception.

“The Institute of Agricultural Management has organised a one day event which is designed to inspire and challenge farmers, farm managers and industry influencers alike,” says IAgrM director, Richard Cooksley.

“Sustainable intensification is going to be a challenge we are going to have to rise to so we can feed the world a healthy and varied diet.”
