Manure passes through a water recycling system, an important feature to a business valuing sustainability, explained farm owner, Jim McCormick.

“We take great pride in growing high quality agricultural products, promoting environmental sustainability and most importantly being a good neighbour,” said Mr McCormick.

Barns can be flushed with reused water and phosphorous, ammonia, potash and nitrogen are concentrated.

Livestock Water Recycling, system manufacturers, said all part of the manure are used, differentiating the unit from others on the market.

Company President Ross Thurston said: “Our system generates a clean, reusable water source that will allow McCormick Farms the ability to recycle the majority of the water they are using in their barns.”
