Chinese Farm Produce Prices Rise
CHINA - The prices of farm produce in China rose slightly last week according to a survey of 36 large and medium-sized cities carried out by the Ministry of Commerce.

The prices of poultry and eggs continued to rise, with the price of eggs up three per cent and chicken up 0.9 per cent.
The prices of meat rose, with the prices of pork and lamb up 1.1 per cent and 0.2 per cent respectively, and the price of beef remaining stable compared to the previous week.
Prices of rice and flour remained unchanged compared to the previous week.
The price of edible oil fell steadily, with the prices of soybean oil, rape seed oil and peanut oil down 0.4 per cent, 0.4 per cent and 0.3 per cent respectively week on week.
The average wholesale price of aquatic products fell 0.1 per cent, with the prices of chub, grass carp and small hairtail down 1.3 per cent, 0.5 per cent and 0.2 per cent respectively week on week.
The average wholesale price of 18 vegetables picked up, up 2.1 per cent week on week, among which the prices of oilseed rape, lettuce and tomato up 12.3 per cent, eight per cent and 6.7 per cent respectively.
