World Dairy Price Falls Further
GLOBAL – Another major slump was reported in the Global Dairy Trade price index yesterday, adding to consecutive decreases in July.Prices slid a further 8.4 per cent, almost as much as the most recent 8.9 per cent drop on 15 July, taking the index to its lowest point since 1 August 2013.
Milk powders led the drop with Butter and Cheddar closing around 10 per cent lower. Whole milk powder finished 11.5 per cent lower and Butter milk powder slipped 10.1 per cent.
In contrast, Anhydrous milk fat finished six per cent higher.
