Top Ten Dairy Company Ranking Still Has Co-op Presence
GLOBAL – Several cooperatives remain in Rabobank’s top ten world dairy companies led by the top three of Nestle, Danone and Lactalis.

Performance was maintained despite challenging economic factors in 2013, Rabobank’s survey said.
Fonterra registered fourth at €11.5 billion in turnover for 2013, followed closely by Friesland Campina and Dairy Farmers of America on €11.2 billion.
Seventh placed Arla Foods finished adrift of the pack on €9.4 billion.
In line with Rabobank forecasts, a Chinese company entered the top ten for the first time when Yili turned over €5.7 billion.
Growth opportunities will be provided by acquisitions and joint ventures going forward, Rabobank added.
