China, Tajikistan Discuss Agricultural Cooperation

CHINA – The Chinese deputy agricultural minister Niu Dun and the Tajikistan Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda discussed how both countries could collaborate to strengthen the farming sector last week.

Both parties expressed interest at strengthening cooperation on cattle breeding and new technology.

They also discussed effective bilateral cooperation on creating conditions for processing of agricultural products, rational use of land, establishment of stores for agricultural products.

The Tajik prime minister said his country is interested in the implementation of large projects in the agrarian sector with Chinese investment, according to the secretariat.

Also on Wednesday, Tajik Agriculture Minister Qosimi Rahbar said at the second session of the Tajik-Chinese Agriculture Cooperation Commission that Tajikistan and China have cooperated in the agrarian sector for years and this cooperation is developing.
