Daily Dairy Trading: Increase Seen Across Several Spot and Futures Prices

US – Futures lifted with several spot values also rising on Tuesday.

Main movers were December milk. Class III closed 17 cents higher at $18.43 and Class IV closed 11 cents higher on $21.15, reports show.

Cheese also finished higher on $1.8110, up from $1.7903. Nonfat Dry Milk was the other contract to post gains, finishing nearly a cent up at $1.9200.

Butter and Whey both made losses. Whey was the biggest dairy futures loser yesterday, closing at $0.5868, more than a cent lower.

Spot markets saw Cheese Barrels recover, finishing up 2.25 cents to $1.7700 as Blocks also closed higher at $1.8650.

Grade A Nonfat Dry Milk reached $2 after two trades forced 1.25 cent gains. Extra Grade went unchanged on $1.9750.
