Production Costs Extended to Tesco Cheese Contracts Next Month

UK – Supermarket chain Tesco’s is to extend the sustainable dairy model to 30 cheese producers supplying cheese processor, Parkham Farms.

Establishing production costs of exclusive suppliers to Tesco’s mature and extra mature cheddar ranges is the aim of the initiative, to start on 1 November.

This will determine the range of costs for Tesco’s liquid producers who are on contracts demanding higher butterfat and protein.

Results will be submitted to agri-food agricultural analysts and consultants, Promar.
