Daily Dairy Trading: Traders Pressure Butter Over Four Cents Lower

US – Spot price Butter dropped value yesterday as traders pressured the high price down 4.5 cents to $1.5700.

Last week’s average was $1.6110 which, after six trades this week, has not held. This was the only change in spot prices through a very limited trading day, Tuesday.

In the October futures, Class III milk move five cents higher to $18.10 whereas Class IV dropped two cents, closing down to $20.30.

Cheese made a small gain, inching up to $1.7810 as Whey edged lower to $0.5840.
