Daily Dairy Trading: Quieter Spot Trading as Futures Post Gains, Tuesday
US – Butter sold well at the week’s price in the spot markets while dairy futures gained ground for the near month.For consecutive days, Butter has recorded thirteen trades at $1.6100. Similarly, all other spot dairy commodities went unchanged on Tuesday.
One Cheddar block traded at $1.7650 which, although unchanged from Monday, is 0.20 cents back on the prior week average.
October Milk made gains with Class III closing on $18.13, up 3 cents and Class IV lifting 7 cents to $20.26.
Nonfat Dry Milk rounded up to $1.8200 and bidding led to a small gain in Whey futures, up from $0.5798 to $0.5800.
Cheese posted a one cent increase, closing on $1.7850.
