Catalonian Dairy Sector to Miss Out on €150 million
SPAIN – Spanish farmers set to lose out on common agricultural payments are pleading with ministers to allow for payment reductions to be reflected in tax calculations.The abolition of quotas in 2015 will sever €150 million of funding, causing cashflow concerns for Catalonian producers.
Barcelona Young Farmers has responded by writing to the government pleading that their tax burdens should be recalculated according to new payments.
