Daily Dairy Trading: Butter Continues Selling Well, Wednesday
US – Butter has continued selling through the week, registering four trades yesterday, lifting values a cent by the close.This put Butter on $1.5300, further ahead of the previous week’s prices, which were around $1.4800.
Despite activity in the Non-fat Dry Milk market, no change was reported. Grade A was unchanged on $1.7800 and Grade A sold for $1.8300, where it has been all week.
Futures saw little major movement. A general trend was for prices to step up in recovery after Tuesday’s small losses.
Class III September milk gained a cent to $18.15 after dropping two cents on Tuesday. Class IV milk remained stuck to $19.49.
September Cheese lifted a fifth of a cent following a cent falling from Monday’s price.
Butter has flat-lined on $1.4615 since falling 0.15 cents on Tuesday.
