Daily Dairy Trading: Butter Only Mover in Spot Markets, Monday
US – Spot trading opened the week steadily yesterday with one change in Butter prices, lifting values one cent to $1.4400.

Last week’s average butter price was $1.4288. This is over a cent lower than Monday’s closing price.
The spot market also reported seven trades for Cheddar Blocks which closed unmoved on $1.8100. With the market unmoved elsewhere, the prices remained ahead of the last week’s average, meaning gains were not lost.
Class III September Milk closed at $18.14 and Class IV finished on $19.42. September Cheese finished up on $1.7900.
