Daily Dairy Trading: Cheddar Leads Losses in Spot Prices Dive, Tuesday
US – Spot price indicators suggest a drop in the market with Cheddar seeing substantial drops, Tuesday.Cheddar Blocks traded at $1.7075 cents, a 4.75 drop on the last movement. Barrels slipped 3.5 cents although no trade was registered, just one offer at $1.7000.
This puts Cheddar values below last week’s average prices of $1.7650+.
Butter and extra grade Non-fat Dry Milk went unchanged on the day but grade A slipped half a cent to $1.8000.
Futures saw three cent losses in August Class III milk to $17.99. Class IV carried its long held value of $19.15.
September Class III milk closed on $17.56, down 24 cents.
August Cheese lost ground, closing on $1.7770 with NDM, Butter and Whey unchanged.
