Daily Dairy Trading: Active Trading See Butter Drop, Friday

US – Friday’s spot trading saw an active market move Cheddar Blocks 0.75 cents lower.

Block trades provided a busy end to an otherwise quiet week, closing at $1.7775.

One Butter trade closed prices one cent lower to $1.3700.

No activity was reported across the other commodities.

Futures trading failed to shift Class IV August from its $19.15 position for the week. Class III lifted a cent to $18.05.

August Cheese closed 0.30 cents lower to $1.7790 while Butter edged higher to $1.4275.

Whey futures stayed unchanged on $1.5800 after Thursday’s half cent drop.

Non-fat Dry was also a non-mover at $1.7700 for the week.
