The announcement came on June 11 and any subsequent prohibition will be in place either until June 22 or 2014 or upon further orders, whichever comes sooner.

Based on a cursory review of an announcement, the extension of a milk imports ban from China will extend an embargo on-going since September 24 2008.

Subsequently reissued, the ban, last updated on June 24 2012 will be subject to ‘improvements in the situation’.
