Daily Dairy Trading: Grade A NDM Lifts, Closing on $1.7025, Friday

US – After a largely static week, Grade A non-fat dry milk saw upwards movement on Thursday and closed up again Friday, lifting 0.25 cents to finish on $1.7025.

Friday’s other mover was Butter which lost half a cent, finish the week on $1.5350, slightly below the prior week average of $1.5410. This places spot prices behind June futures which peaked at $1.5700 but closed down to $1.5555.

Cheese closed unchanged with barrels and blocks closing at $1.7225 per pound. Extra grade Non-fat Dry Milk maintained it hold on $1.7000 as it did for the previous week.

Class III futures closed down a cent at $17.99 completing a week of downturn from $18.11 on Monday in contrast to Class IV performance which was unchanged on $19.03.
