Jersey genetics have experienced a boom over the past two years according to The American Jersey Cattle Association (AJCA).

Marketing just over 1 million units of Jersey semen made 2011 a record year for Select Sires, only to be smashed in 2012 with sales topping 1.1 million.

Spurred by the successes of Select Sires, The AJCA also reported back-to-back record years for identification and performance records.

This will form the backdrop for the 145th AJCA annual meeting to be held on Saturday 29 June at the Ambassador Hotel Amarillo, Texas.
