UK – Milk powder markets are challenging Skimmed Milk Powder (SMP) prices.

Global demand is rising for Whole Milk Powder (WMP) which is pressuring SMP prices as processors will not manufacture more SMP than they feel is necessary, says DairyCo.
Fat and protein demand remains healthy and Mild Cheddar has reached a price of £3000/tonne.
As of yet, mature prices have been largely unchanged but a price increase is expected from pressure from mild cheddar.
