Expected to be worth more than CAN$600,000, the non-refundable national levy has been authorised to continue providing industry stability through funding national marketing, promotion and research activities.
Focused at Canada Beef Inc. and the Beef Cattle Research Council, the long-term development projects look to increase industry competitiveness.
Alberta Beef Producers has welcomed the announcement saying it is ‘very good news for the cattle and beef industry in Canada’.
