Henrik Biilmann comes from a position as innovation director in Arla Food, where he has acquired 17 years’ experience with sales, marketing and development of concepts within the food industry. He has also obtained knowledge of organic food products and this area will now become an important part of his daily activities.

The new CEO of Friland is 42 years old and educated cand. merc. in sales. He lives in Aarhus and his spare time is a.o. spent with yacht racing and he is co-author to the sailor handbook ”Vindermanual – Strategi og taktik” (Winner manual - Strategies and tactics).

The chairman of the Board of Friland, Bjarne Møller, looks forward to the cooperation with the new CEO of the company.

"We in the appointment committee have had to choose between many well qualified applicants so it has not been an easy task. With Henrik Biilmann I feel, however, that we have found the top manager who can continue Friland’s values and also contribute to the future growth and innovation," Mr Møller said.

Mr Biilmann assumes the job as CEO after Karsten Dejbjerg Kristensen. Karsten Dejbjerg Kristensen was co-founder of Friland in 1992 and he has been CEO for the company since then, but announced this autumn that he wanted to seek new challenges.
