Agricultural Bank Funds Milking Complex in Kaluga
RUSSIA - A modernised livestock complex for 400 cows for the Alechinsky company has been opened in the Meshchovsk district of the Kaluga region.

The building work was carried out with the backing of the Kaluga branch of the Agricultural Bank which allocated 120 million rubles to the project - 60 per cent of the cost.
The livestock complex was built with advanced engineering concepts, designed with 400 stalls and involves the use of advanced livestock technologies, including cattle loose housing and milking stations using at-will milking systems.
Currently, the complex is equipped with robotic milking machines in which milking cows will be milked automatically without any labour, producing high quality milk.
The production capacity of the plant is expected to be 4,000 tonnes of milk a year. It is planned to have a breeding herd of 260 head per year.
"The investment project started in June 2012. In September 2012, the Kaluga branch was opened by funding the project for the reconstruction of complex premises, purchase of dairy equipment and the purchase of agricultural machinery. The total investment in agribusiness in the RAB Kaluga region for the 2012 amounted to 2.2 billion rubles. The Bank will continue to expand lending to investment projects, the implementation of which will further promote the effective development and increase the investment attractiveness of agriculture, which will provide residents of the area of high-quality and affordable domestic production," said the deputy director of the Kaluga branch of Rosselkhozbank Natalia Garizan.
