DairyCo Conference to Discuss Market Drivers for 2012

UK - Rising feed prices, the wettest summer on record and wholesale market movements in early 2012 will be considered at the dairy breakout session at the Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board (AHDB) Outlook Conference.

DairyCo chairman Tim Bennett will introduce the dairy breakout session, which will include a presentation by AHDB/DairyCo analyst Matthew Johnson and Mark Voorbergen, CMENP on GB and global dairy market outlook.

The dairy presentation will be followed by a discussion led by Ian Potter on key challenges facing the British dairy industry in 2013/14.

Jointly hosted by DairyCo, EBLEX and BPEX presentations will also be made on global economic trends, price volatility and the outlook for feed prices with guest speakers including HSBC head of economics, Mark Berrisford-Smith. Sector-specific forecasting sessions will consider the short and medium term market outlook.

The 2013 Outlook Conference will take place at One Great George Street, in London, on Wednesday 13 February and provide the ideal platform for industry stakeholders to discuss production forecasts and other industry-related issues.
