The organisation is developed for all ages, reassures DairyCo product manager Helen Brookes despite its popularity with younger groups, and is open to everyone who works on dairy farms.

"The figures are encouraging at a time when there are serious concerns about the future of the industry and getting new entrants," said Dairy Pro chairman David Cotton.

"They show that younger entrants are keen to demonstrate the value of their skills and ensure they are keeping up with the latest industry developments. The register has been set up to help dairy farmers and staff show their skills and achievements clearly. It also enables the industry to demonstrate the valuable and wide ranging skills needed to work in dairy farming.”

A website revamp with more user friendly features is hoped to provide latest DairyPro information to those who need it.
