Yields Increasing In Khakassia
RUSSIA - Milk yields are improving and above figures for January 2012 in Khakassia, according to the Russian government.
Dairies have been monitored in the south Serbian region of Khakassia. Yield per cow has risen by 200 grams on last year’s levels to 9.4 kilograms. The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food has expressed satisfaction with the way the labour in the sector is functioning.
"Weekends and holidays do not exist for cows, the fact that the cause of the holidays for the workers is not a hindrance show figures from the daily reports. Milk yield per forage cow continues to rise - a glass of milk plus,” said Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Valeri Abramenko.
The growth in the Republic of Khakassia coincides with new from the Altai Krai region. Yields have risen from 9.7 kg to 13.9 kg per cow per day.
